As a painter, Robert Marosi Bustamante is guided by the Jazz ethic and gives way to the graces of improvisation to explore harmonies in color and composition, satisfying his deepest feelings to express and create a unique vision.
The pieces grow out of his interest in the figure as movement and as characters in mythology, wherein characters play out different roles: from a Joe DiMaggio painting invoking nostalgia and hero worship, to a series of Madonna’s as divine beings.
